On the evening of the third day (our second day at sea), we spotted land. It was dark, but lights could be seen as we were passing buy groupings of islands. When we reached Grand Turk, Dave went crazy capturing the Caribbean blue of the ocean, and the white sands, and the blast of yellow and orange from Margaritaville. We laid on the beach, soaked up the sun, reveled in the sweeping wind in our hair, and snorkeled in the crystal clear waves. The view of the Pride was impressive from land, and we certainly took our time strolling the seascape. Relaxation was the theme of the islands, and in keeping with that theme, Dave and I just lapped up all the leisure time. Ahhh…. And yes, yes, we did have margaritas—at 9 AM! Hey, as the waitress said, “it’s 5 o’clock somewhere”! We spent the hazy morning enjoying ourselves, and then headed back to the ship for a shower and a nap, dinner, and a great show. We capped off the night in the Ivory Room, a piano bar that was relaxing and fun!
