For anyone that is planning their wedding, what are you looking to spend and what are you expecting to have in your package?

When Sara and I were planning our wedding we were wondering what to spend on our wedding photography. I knew that it would cost a lot, but I was willing to spend the money on my wedding pictures, and a videographer. I knew once our wedding was over, that all we would have left would be our memories. So many friends of ours say that they never bought an album and wish they had something to look back on. Some friends decided on just having a friend take some pictures with their personal point and shoot camera, but were sad to say that a lot of the pictures came out blurry and some pictures didn’t come out at all.

We spent a little over 3,000 for our wedding photography and that was only about 6 hours and only came with a proofbook. We did end-up paying several hundred dollars more so we could have a DVD with all of the pictures from our wedding day. I knew it sounded like a lot, but when I thought about it, we had 2 photographers and the 6 hours was not all the time they were going to spend on our wedding. They would be spending a little more like 30 or 40 hours on our wedding pictures after they had to edit all 800 pictures. And they made us our proofbook and DVD with all or our pictures.

If you are just thinking, “Photographers charge too much for their services in my area! Maybe I will just ask my friend Sue to take pictures…” You should think about what you want to have for the rest of your life when looking back on your wedding day. You should think about it as an investment, and not just money you think you are throwing out the window. We were thinking the same thing when It came to having a videographer. I am so glad we changed our minds and invested our money in a photographer and videographer. Sara and I are always looking at our wedding pictures and made it a tradition to watch our video on every anniversary so we can remember how great our wedding was…

So during our Disney Wedding at Walt Disney World, I asked Sara if she would like to go to the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween, Sara said “of course I want to go”. Since we were getting married in September, I wasn’t sure if it would have been on already since Halloween isn’t until the end of October, but I called and they said yes, it starts in September. If anyone is thinking about going, it was awesome.

Just a heads up! If you are thinking of going to the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween, I would suggest to just purchase the special tickets for that event because magic kingdom park closed at 7:00 to start the “MNSSH” . If you are planing on going to magic kingdom earlier that day, you will need to purchase two tickets. One ticket for magic kingdom and One ticket for Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween.

Here is some video I took during the fireworks during the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween at Magic Kingdom.

Can’t wait for our next Disney World Vacation!:)

    nice post. thanks.

A couple of weeks ago, I looked at the calendar and I realized that I was going to be 30 years old! Yikes! To be honest, I was a little- uncomfortable with the idea that the big 3-0 was approaching… My wonderful husband asked if I wanted a party to commemorate the big event, but I decided I would rather NOT celebrate the loss of my twenties with my closest friends and family. He asked what I would like to do instead, and I thought about it, and decided that I wanted to go to the Pittsburgh Zoo. I love the zoo! Its an experience that is fun whether you’re 2 or 92, and I thought it would be a great way to spend the day. We had beautiful weather- not too hot, not too cold, and we lucked out when the rain held off! So after church, Dave and I packed into the van with his mom and dad and heading into Pittsburgh. We saw tigers, and lions and bears (Oh My!), along with Penguins and Giraffes. It was so fun! Then we went to the Cheesecake Factory and I ate my favorite Chicken Picatta and had the most delicious Godiva Chocolate Cheesecake.. YUM!!!

We love photographing everywhere we go in Pittsburgh, specially since we are Pittsburgh Wedding Photographers!

It was a great day and great way to celebrate a big one…:)Love and thanks to my wonderful honey.

It’s a little scary to see a shark up close in person and see them teeth… Just look at those teeth!

Here is one of my mom’s favorites…

The Crabtree fireworks, wow! very nice. My Mom, Dad, Sara and I took a ride up to Crabtree to catch the fireworks that started around 10:30. It’s been awhile since I got a chance to see the fireworks there. If you get a chance to check them out next year, you should. A lot of people for the Crabtree festival… but the fireworks are worth it. Here is a shot I took.
